The Icon was written between May and October 2002 by a Russian Orthodox Iconographer.
Interestingly it was completed the same week as the Pope gave us the new Luminous mysteries of the Rosary.
Its first showing was for Medjugorje International Relief 10th Anniversary day of thanksgiving at the Schoenstatt Shrine in Manchester.
In the last few years it has travelled to many of the churches that have been involved in our work, sometimes for a day of prayer or special Marain event, or more usually for a 1 month visit.
Prayer cards depicting the Icon are available for a small donation, on the back of the card is the prayer of Pope John Paul II, Totus Tuus.
The Icon has now been passed on so is no longer being taken from place to place by us but has a more permanent home.
